Adam Philipp
Adam Philipp is Philipp Capital Advisors’ founder and CEO. He counsels a select group of individuals and families on investments and a range of financial matters. His longstanding passion for investing and his desire to help others achieve their financial goals led him to formally pursue a financial advising career and found his own firm.
Adam received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science and history from Northwestern University. He received a law degree from The Ohio State University’s Moritz College of Law, which he attended on a full-tuition Michael E. Moritz Merit Scholarship. He graduated cum laude and served on the law review. In law school, Adam was also a legislative fellow in Governor John Kasich’s office, and for two years he held a Foreign Language and Area Studies (FLAS) fellowship to study the Turkish language and Middle Eastern area studies. As an attorney, Adam clerked for Judge Raymond Moore on the United States District Court for the District of Colorado in Denver and later became a corporate and capital markets associate with Jones Day and Calfee, Halter & Griswold. In these experiences, Adam maintained an active pro bono practice.
Born and raised in the Cleveland area, Adam’s roots are deep. He is passionate about Northeast Ohio and the region’s vast potential. He lives in Shaker Heights and enjoys spending time with his wife, Mariam, and his young children. Outside of work, he serves as Chagrin Falls’ Valley Art Center’s treasurer and a member of its board of trustees. He is a member of Cleveland Bridge Builders’ class of 2024. He has also volunteered with Urban Squash Cleveland and coached baseball as a member of University School’s staff. Adam enjoys international affairs and foreign policy. He is a Council on Foreign Relations term member, a member of the American Council on Germany, and a 2023 American Council on Germany Young Leader.
